This weekend served its purpose of being entirely freeing. It was a little like an abstract work of art. Where some might just see chaos splashed all over the place, others may see perfection. My weekend was just that, all over the place and perfection. Sunday was low-key, mostly because my body needed to recuperate after the hell I put it through in the gym this week, and the poisoning it was exposed to Saturday night. If my liver could speak, she would say “fuck you, Kari for the ridiculous stunt you pulled on Saturday night!” I intoxicated my body with large doses of aspartame and vodka; in the form of “skinny bitches” (Skinny bitches are drinks, not females.)The concoction is a mix vodka and diet coke. Let’s just say I destroyed more “skinny bitches” than any socially acceptable female should. After my shenanigans on Saturday, the most activity my body saw Sunday was walking to my pool lounge chair, forcing my fatigued body to win a game of corn hole, then going to another pool across town, and sitting in another lounge chair.

This morning I have the privilege of feeling the bright, cool, crisp morning air while I sprawl out on the rooftop balcony of my apartment complex. My shoulders and quads are screaming from yet another sunrise workout that kicked my ass, nonetheless, I feel rejuvenated. Around me the orchestra of birds chirping, the train roaring, and traffic buzzing from the interstate inspire me for the week to come…
So here’s to turning your swag on, doing it big, getting your hands dirty, not settling, and definitely not being average! Turn up the volume this week!
